Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.S)

• The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of the martyr.
• He who travels in the search of knowledge, to him God shows the way of Paradise.
• During the days of your life, divine breezes will blow, so watch out for them.
• The true Muslim is the one from whose hand and tongue other Muslims are safe.
• There is no worship like Meditation, and there is no support more sure.

• Much silence and a good disposition; there are no two works better than these.
• Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him.

• He who cognized himself, cognized God.
• The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.
• Everyone will find easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created.
• The Faith consists of more than sixty parts. And Modesty is a part of faith.
• The signs of a hypocrite are three: (1) Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; (2) Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise ); (3) If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest.
• Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully.
• Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights.

Hazrat Usman (Uthman) Ghani

• The highest degree in faith is that you always regard yourself in the presence of God.
• A backbiter harms three persons, firstly himself, secondly the person whom he is addressing and thirdly the person whom he is backbiting.
• See that during your lifetime you amass a number of good deeds, for after death it would not be possible for you to do any deed.
• In the event of distress, a man depends solely on his own plans, and relies on the people. When he is disappointed from all sides, then alone he turns to God.
• On testing people, I have found some of them more poisonous than poisonous animals.
• It is painful to realize that while an animal recognizes its master, (some) human beings do not recognize their Lord.

Hazrat Ali

• A person reaches to his end (death) by the thing that he loved in his entire life.
• Opportunity is swift of flight but slow to return.
• People are asleep as long as they are alive, they are awakened when they die.
• A wise enemy is better than a foolish friend.
• Silence is the best reply to a fool.
• He who does not know his own worth is doomed to destruction.

Hazrat Hassan Basri

Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq

Hazrat Bayazid Bistami

• I desire not to desire, for my will is without value, since I am ignorant in any case. Therefore choose Thou (God) for me what Thou (God) knowest to be best and do not put my perdition in what my autonomy and free choice prefer.
• I have come to know Allah through Allah, and I have come to know what is other than Allah with the light of Allah.
• All this talk and turmoil and noise and movement and desire is outside of the veil; within the veil is silence and calm and rest.
• There is nothing better than to be without everything, no theories or practices. When you are without all, you will be with all.
• Who does not have a shaikh (spiritual teacher), his shaikh is Satan.

Hazrat Zunnun Misri

• Truth is the sword of God on the earth, it cuts everything that it touches.
• Don't entangle yourself by thinking about past & future, be pleased & satisfied in every moment that you have now.

Ibn Sina (Bu-Ali Sina)

• Those who know, they do not know that to know is to know what they do not know.
• Prayer is that which enables the Soul to realize its Divinity.

Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi

• The Sufi is like the earth, every kind of abomination is thrown upon it, but every kind of goodness grows from it.
• The company of a kind non-believer is better that the company of a rude scholar.
• If I had known any science greater than Tasawwuf (Sufism), I would have gone to it, even on my hands & knees.

Hazrat Ali Hajveri (Data Ganj Bakhsh)

• An Arif (Gnostic) is a scholar too, but it is not possible that a scholar also could be an Arif (Gnostic).
• The biggest hardness for human is to cognize God.

Hazrat Imam Ahmad Ghazali

• Between the mirror & the heart is the single difference, the heart conceals secrets, while the mirror does not.
• A soul which is not clothed with the inner garment of love, should be ashamed of its existence.

Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (Ghaus-al-Azam)

• Don't ask for Rahmat (Mercy), but ask for Raheem (Merciful).
• Knowledge is useless without action.
• The Arabic word "Tasawwuf" (Sufism) consists of four consonants T,S,W,F

  The first letter T stands for TAWBA or Repentance - This is the first step to be taken on the path.

  The second Letter S stands for SAFA - This is to purify ones inner self by Rememberance of Allah.

  The third letter W stands for WILAYA - This state depends on inner purity. The one in this state is totally conscious : in love with, and connected to Allah as a result he is beautified with the best of characters, morals and manners.

  The forth letter F stands for FANA - This is the annihilation of oneself. In this state the "false self " melts and evaporates. When divine attributes enter one's being.

Hazrat Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki

• Salik (student of sufism) is he who remains engrossed in love of God. He is so absorbed that if the entire expanse of Sky and Earth get into his chest, he would scarcely feel the presence.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti

• Arif (Gnostic) always considers death as his friend, comfort as his enemy and he always remembers God .
• Whosoever got any blessing, got by Generosity indeed.
• Charity is better than performing Sala't (Prayer) a hundred times.

Hazrat Baba Farid (Ganj Shakar)

• Sufi is one, whose presence cleanses everything and nothing can rust it.

Hazrat Alalauddin Sabir Kalayri

• If desire greatness, be simple and truthful.
• The guide should have the ability to correct the weakness of the seeker of truth.
• Illiterate and greedy mystic is Satan's clown.

Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya

• True wisdom is to renounce the world.
• Knowledge is achieved. Intellect is natural.
• Salik (student of sufism) achieves greatness from four things: Less eating, Less talking, Less sleep, and less socializing. 
• One must trust in God and should not expect of anyone besides Him.

Hazrat Muhiuddin Ibn Arabi

• God is your mirror in which you contemplate yourself and you are His mirror in which He contemplates his divine attributes.
• Referring the Hadith Qudsi: "Neither My Heaven nor My Earth contains Me, but the heart of My faithful believer contains Me". Ibn Arabi said that, this because the heart is a mirror in which the manifested "Form of God" is at each moment reflected on the scale of the microcosm.
• Whoever is truthful in something and pursues it diligently will obtain it sooner or later; if he does not obtain it in this world, he will obtain it in the next; and whoever dies before victory shall be elevated to the level of his diligence.
• Whoever asks for a proof for Allah's oneness, a donkey knows more than him.

Hazrat Hafiz Shirazi

• You yourself are your own obstacle, rise above yourself.
• In the path of love one needs spiritual direction.

Hazrat Shaikh Sa'di

• Reveal not every secret you have to a friend, for how can you tell but that friend may hereafter become an enemy. And bring not all the mischief you are able to do upon an enemy, for he may one day become your friend.
• Have patience, all things are difficult before they become easy.
• The rose and the thorn, and sorrow and gladness are linked together.
• When the belly is empty, the body becomes spirit; and when it is full, the spirit becomes body.

Hazrat Baba Bullhe Shah

Hazrat Ghaus Ali Shah Qalandar

• I feel smile on them who commit sin by themselves & blame Satan.
• The Soul is the lover of Divine Voice, at the time of agony the Divine Voice echos to the Soul, so then it ascends towards the Divine Voice.
• Man dies on the same faculty, in which he has perfection.

Hazrat Qalandar Baba Auliya

• Usually it is said that "the time has been passing", but in fact the "time" is a record of the Past. The Present & the Future do not exist, as our Holy Prophet Mohammad said: "Whatever is going to be happen, the Pen has dried after writing that."
• It is not enough that the man steps forward on the way of Allah, and he would be succeeded. But it is necessary to see if he is really stepping forward for Allah or there are some prudences. The Paradise is also a prudence, and good deeds are prudence too. Allah does not recognize a person, until his intention & aim wouldn't be Allah only.
