Hazrat Anas ibn Malik
Hazrat Umm Sulaym (also known as Hazrat Rumaysa) was the mother of Hazrat Anas Bin Malik. She first married to Malik ibn An-Nadr, and her son by this marriage was Hazrat Anas ibn Malik. Malik An-Nadr was a Non-Muslim, when Hazrat Umm Sulaym accepted Islam, Malik ibn An-Nadr didn't like it, and he prohibited her to teach Islam to his son Hazrat Anas ibn Malik. But Hazrat Umm Sulaym taught Islam to the young Anas ibn Malik, against the consent of her husband. During that period an enemy of Malik ibn An-Nadr killed him, and young Anas ibn Malik became an orphan. After some time Hazrat Abu Talha (also known as Hazrat Zayd ibn Sahl) proposed her (At that time he didn't accept Islam & was an Idol-Worshipper). Hazrat Umm Sulaym asked him to first accept Islam, then she could marry him. He accepted Islam later & married Hazrat Umm Sulaym, thus he was step-father of Hazrat Anas ibn Malik.
Hazrat Umm Sulaym was devoted to the Holy Prophet, and dedicated her son Hazrat Anas to his service. Hazrat Anas served the Holy Prophet for 10 years in Madina. He also narrated many Hadith. He was honored in the age of 10 with the Dua (pray) of the Holy Prophet to him "May Allah increase his wealth, off springs, bless him and grant him Paradise". So he lived ninety-nine years and was blessed with a lot of children and wealth. He died in 91 AH (some say 93 AH).
