Background Information
The Artist
Originally from Knysna, South Africa, Sue located to Taunton, Somerset in 2002.
She was inspired by her tutor Mr Daan Roestorf at her last year at College
preparing a piece in three dimensional art.
Her artworks reflect her inspiration of landscapes and nature in general.
The three-dimensional pieces contains varied natural materials obtained
locally.
The end product is painted in metalic colours and varnished, resulting in
varied
appearances when observed from different angles.
Different lighting positions will enhance different aspects of the artwork,
due to the varied textures of the materials.
Recently she was awarded the first prize in the Taunton Flower Show
competition 2006 for her entry in the Mixed Media category.
