NATIONAL PATRONAGE OF BLIND, INC 

THE NATIONAL PATRONAGE OF BLIND, INC, is a private Institution without ends of lucre, integrated by voluntary people of grateful humanitarian spirit. Founded November of 1964, 5 date in the one that their Statutes are approved, and the benefit of the incorporation is granted by means of Ordinance 2100 of the Executive Power, of February 15 1965. 

From their foundation, he come helping blind people in form singular, and offering support to the National School of Blind, facilitating them the building where this installed this school. 

He has as fundamental objective the attention of blind people in the whole Republic, in Programs of Educational Support, Social and Medical Attendance, Rehabilitation and Labor Integration, through the rural programs South-this, South-west and Cibao, and the Centers of Rehabilitation for Mature Blind men (Cercid- Santo Domingo) and in Santiago (Cercid-Cibao). 

He obtains their economic resources of the donors, of the annual collection in the month of November (Declared Officially the Blind man Month), of the State Of the Dominican Republic and of the Christoffel Blindenmission (CBM), German institution with whose economic help were executed  the Rural Programs and the Centers of Rehabilitation for Mature Blind men (Cercid-Santo Domingo and Cercid-Cibao), but that every year it reduces its economic help, until at the moment we only receive 27% of economic support and next year 2005 this help he can it turns reduced to 15%.
