Bookmarklets

Bookmarklets are simple one-line scripts, implemented as ordinary bookmarks. You can use bookmarklets to add additional features to your browser, whether it's a Mozilla brand or Internet Explorer. Bookmarklets aren't new to the Javascript community. In fact, they can be used in older Javascript-enabled browsers. Most can be simply dragged to your toolbar for easy access.

About Firefox 1.5

Firefox differentiates itself from Internet Explorer and other alternative browsers like Opera and Netscape by what it doesn't offer: Firefox is a stripped down fast browser with a clean and simple interface. You can fully customize Firefox with extensions that greatly enhance your browsing experience.

About Mozilla

Mozilla is an open source Gecko based browser with additional features not included with Firefox. This includes Mozilla Mail, Composer for page editing and Chatzilla IRC. It weighs in at around 12 megs, compared to a 5 meg download for Firefox.

Netscape 7.2

Netscape 7 = Mozilla + AOL branding + Instant Messenger + ICQ + Java 2 Runtime Environment + WinAMP + RealAudio + Net2Phone + Netscape Radio. It includes Netscape Mail and Composer but not Chatzilla. Also features tabbed browsing.

Note - Netscape 8 released.

Thunderbird

Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, open-source and cross-platform mail client for most operating systems including Windows, Linux and Macintosh. Thunderbird comes with built-in spam filters, effectively moving or removing unwanted e-mails and spam.
