Training (10/07/05)

Training every Sunday Racecourse 10:30am

Sundays first training session started with a bang as Matt Collins and Chris Pinches had the new reserve team management duo (Pat O'Connell and Mark Collins) and their team sweating blood. Mark Collins took an impressive warm up starting with a gentle jog and a few stretches, followed by a 600m run which Shaun Weston took one step too far, not realising this was only the warm up.

After Mark Collins had put the players through gym like exercises, it was time for the serious stuff. Matt Collins and Chris Pinches had set out their own extra long shuttles (Colpin sprints) which meant the whole team could do it at once. Several players pulled out within a minute, the most disappointing being first teamer Macca who squealed like a pig after the first small set of runs due to a perceived pulled muscle. Credit must go to Mark Collins and potential new signing Jamie Nuttall who never gave up the fight, " tough men come through tough times". Credit must also go to Justin Sales who would not give in like others when the going got tough (take note Macca).

The session ended with a 30 min game, where credit must go to Kyle Michael and again Jamie Nuttall who both stood out. Macca completed the full 30 mins of the game, which was quite surprising!. Mark Knight looked on with interest from under the tree.
