High Crimes (2004): I've not seen it but apparently Jennifer has a role as a court room clerk, but she has no lines in the film. Someone told me that you can spot her in the background. Perhaps her scenes were deleted.
Rubbernecking aka Accidents Do Happen (2000): Short film also featuring Renee O'Connor from Xena. As far as I know it has never found a distributor. Jennifer plays a Nurse. It's a comedy about the situation of lots of people stuck a traffic jam. Official Website: CLICK HERE

Directed by James Merendino.
Starring Matthew Lillard as Stevo, Michael Goorjian as Bob,
Annabeth Gish as Trish and Jennifer Lien as Sandy.
Its 1985 and Stevo is a rare animal, a punk rocker in
the Mormon stronghold of Salt Lake City, Utah. He just graduated
from college with honours and now his life is a nutty roller
coaster ride of rock shows, stealing cars, beating up rednecks
and non-stop partying with his buddy, Heroine Bob. But with the
scene getting lame and Stevo going nowhere fast, he has to put
his punk ideals to the test. With a choice between No
Future and Harvard Law School, whats a guy with blue
hair supposed to do?![]()
Jennifer plays Stevo's girlfriends Sandy. Her appearance
is altered greatly, heavy dark makeup and black hair. She is the compete opposite to anything Jennifer
has ever played. Sandy swears, has sex in public places, takes
drugs and is promiscuous! We first see her with others
visiting Bob in hospital. Then we see her at a music gig involved
in some shocking activities! Stevo narrates the film and at times
talks to the camera, he introduces Sandy to us amongst others.
She is with Stevo when he meets an old friend who's now a beggar
on the streets. Jennifer's main scene is one filled with drug
fuelled hallucinations. She says
she's dying, the world
is dying and then there's an image of a bomb going off behind her
in the landscape. The final time we see Sandy is when Stevo
discovers her cheating on him, although they don't have a
monogamous relationship, he beats up the man she's with. Jennifer
does a fantastic job in this film, a good career move, showing
her versatility as an actress.
A great role for Matthew Lillard, proving comedy (Scooby Doo,
Without a Paddle) isn't all he can do. It is an
extremely well made film, surely wouldn't be to everyone's taste
- full of violence, drug use and sex, but I really like the
characters and the message behind it all.
