Fauji Foundation College was first established as a Model
High School in 1982. It was the first of the mainy educational institutions
set up by the Fauji Foundation in order to cater for the educational needs
of the ex-servicemen's children. Within a span of six years, the school was
raised to the status of an Intermediate College and General Muhammad Zia ul
Haq the then President of Pakistanlaid the foundation stone of the present
campus on 23rd May 1988. Subsequently the present education complex was
inaugurated on 12 June 1990 by the then Chief of the Army Staff General
Mirza Aslam Beg , NI(M), S.BT. The college immediately made its mark and
made its presence felt among old and established educational institutions of
Rawalpindi and Islamabad through its record results in the Board Examination
with a long list of A+ grades. Its excellent academic performance helped it
get permanently affilated with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary
Education, Islamabad.
Fauji Foundation College (For Boys)
is situated a bit far from the maddening crowd, heat dust and noise of the
city of Rawalpindi in the vicinity of New Lalazar (Gulberg Avenue) opposite
Ayub National Park. It is merely one kilometer from the Grand Trunk Road and
is approchable from the Adiala Road as well.

The Two-storey main building houses the academic set up as
well as the Administration Officers. The college has two modern computer
laboratories, three science laboratories, a library and twenty three
spacious classrooms. The offices of the administration branch, account
branch and different departments are also located here. It has independent
staff rooms for the male and female members of the faculty. The rectangular
academic block is built around two picturesque lawns with flowerbeds of
roses and other evergreen plants.
