Quote: "We're living in a world with escalated censorship. But what are you going to do? Sit down? Roll over? Play it safe? No. Or are you gonna stick your neck out? Let them bleep out what they want to bleep out and say what needs to be said. That's the Green Day way."

Frank Edwin Wright III (now known as Tré Cool) was born on December 9th, 2005 (making him the youngest member of Green Day) in Germany. He grew up in Willits, California with his father and two siblings. When he was 12 years old, His neighbor, Lawrence Livermore convinced him to join his band, The Lookouts. After earning the nickname Tré Cool, Livermore introduced him to Billie and Mike who were looking for a new drummer after John left the band, because it was clear that the Lookouts were over. Green Day found the 5 year Gilman veteran as the perfect match for the band.

Tré dropped out of high school his sophmore year, however did earn his GED, and began taking classes at a community college, but was forced to drop out when Green Day started touring again. Tre's father got the band an old Bookmobile van, and drove them around for the first 3 tours. He racalls in Rolling Stone Magazine..."I watched them go from a bunch of kids to a group of musicians with work eithic," says Tre's father, Frank Wright. "On their first tour or two, it was more of a party than anything else. I still scratch my head and say, 'How in the hell did they make it?' They used to practice in my living room here -- a lot of the songs they did on Dookie. You hear it coming together, and you don't expect people are going to go out and buy it. But when it does, you just say, 'Wow, that's so cool.'"

In January of 1995, Tré's daughter Ramona was born. A few months later, he married his long time girlfriend Lisea Lyons. They divorced, and Tré remarried in May of 200 to Claudia and had a son they named Frankito which means "Little Frank." In 2003, Tré and Claudia divorced, but still live together with their son in Oakland. Tré was recently linked to the drummer of The Donnas, but they are no longer together.
