Country Horizon

Country Horizon are a trio from from the South West Of Western Australia who play all styles of Country Music and some 60's rock and roll, with the emphasis on good listening enjoying the music and having fun. The trio features, Larry Woods on Rhythm guitar and vocals, Wendy Woods on Keyboard and vocals, Ray Franke on Lead Electric vocals and Harmonies. Each singer performs individually also combine together resulting in sweet and competent harmonies and variety. The format is always bright and cheery.

The band has been privileged to win 22 different awards since they started in 1991. Country Horizon has shared their music with audiences all over Australia. Their trips to Tamworth in 1995 through to 2009 have taken in a lot of venues through out SA, VIC, QLD and NSW also included being a support Band for Chad Morgan, and backing band for Slim (redback) Newton while on their stays in Tamworth.

A successful Tour of the Northern Territory included being a support for Anne Kirkpatrick at the Grand Casino in Darwin, and made a huge impression on the crowd with their friendly appeal and talent.

At the Perth Royal Show in 2000 they were the opening act on two consecutive nights for the Adam Brand Show.

In February 2001 were the backing band for Craig Giles (NSW) on his WA tour.

April 2005 seen them support for the "Multi Gold Guitar" winner Reg Poole on two different occasions, also with the legendary Roland Storm. In April 2006 seen them once again join up with Craig Giles and also the talented Owen Blundell/Frankie J Spencer act. In 2006 were the backing band for Australia's Yodelling sensation Laura Downing on two different occasions.

With song writing ability and cover songs the band can play for almost any type of function from Weddings to private party's or Country Music nights, or even do some 60's rock and roll, something for everyone.

In the early part of 2009 the band will be joining up again with Yodelling sensation Laura Downing, and Country Crooner Brian letton, funny man Owen Blundell/Franke J Spencer and also Donella. Being on Tour is what the band enjoy doing the most, covering the land, meeting new people catching up with old friends made along the way. While on home ground they hold workshops once a month to help promote the young and up coming artists of Country Music, also private one on one help.
