Marty Returns to RAW 2/22/06

By, Bobby Sanford.  On Monday night my trainer Marty Jannetty returned to Raw.  All I can say is simply amazing!  I hadn't even planned on watching Raw, but while I worked out on the treadmill at Gold's Gym I decided I would watch and that's when it happened Shawn Michaels was getting beat up by the Spirit Squad and Marty Jumped out of the crowd to make the save.  I was happy about that, so happy that I am going to start finishing opponents off with the the Rocker Dropper, maybe not.

On Saturday February 5, in Columbus, Ga Bobby Sanford teamed up with Mike Stratus to take on the on former NWA-GCW Champion Eric Watts and Loverboy Lee Thomas.  In the early part of the match Eric Watts took control of Mr. Education and with a flurry of quick tags and double team maneuvers Watts and Thomas had control of the early part of the match until Thomas was thrown to the corner and climbed the rope to nail Sanford, when he turned around Stratus was right there to capitalize on the mistake.  Sanford and Stratus used a series of illegal tactics to keep the advantage, but in the end it was Watts and Thomas who got the big victory.  Bobby Sanford will return to NWA-GCW on February 11.

On January 28 Mr. Education pinned, a new comer to the American Wrestling Federation, Steve Goins.

Mr. Education Predicts

January 6, 2005 Official Statement

In 2006 I am finally where I want to be and that is wrestling as a fan favorite again, for some reason fans like me regardless anyways.  This year I will simply showcase my abilities more and more,  I continue to improve I have realized this from years of playing sports.  My trainer Marty Jannetty has taught me a lot over the past two years and I plan to put those concepts into play this year.

I look forward to more stiff competition and also I look to excel in all aspects of professional wrestling.  I really feel that right now I am at the top of my game and I can compete with any one on any level.  Now it's up to me to prove this in the ring.

GAWF Title Turmoil

To Everyone: October 25, 2005

First off,  I don't condone being booked for a wrestling event and not appearing, unfortunately professional wrestling is a business and sometimes things happen that are beyond my control.  This is a very "political business," is a saying that is tossed around by so many.  There are a lot of people out there who don't know me, but one thing I want people to know is that I am an ethical person, and I am not going to sit by and watch one of my friends get screwed over.  If it was up to me I would have been at the Great American Wrestling Show to defend the belt.

I appreciate the fact that Skip Skipperman called me ahead of time to let me know what the deal was and for that I thank him because some promoters will wait until it's to tell you the deal.  I had actually worked out a better deal with another promotion with the help of my advisor Marty Jannetty, but the negotiations fell through at the last minute.  There are no hard feelings, and I am sure Mr. Education will return to the GAWF in the future.

GAWF Heavyweight Championship means a lot to me however it is not the only championship I currently hold.  I am the Florida Wrestling Alliance heavyweight champion as well, and the last Capital City Wrestling Cruiserweight champion.  I have no idea what went on at the GAWF show, but as far as I am concerned I am still the champion and eventually things will work out in a way so that I can actually have the opportunity to defend that title (I hope).  If I don't get a chance to defend the title that's fine as well.

Trust me I can go to any wrestling promotion on the Indy scene right now and outwrestle at least 95 percent of the roster, that's not a knock on any one, but it's how I train.  Monday thru Friday I train; lifting weights, wrestling in the ring, running with the track team or working on balance and agility drills.  A great man once said, "I don't care if you love me or hate me, but you will respect me."

I am sorry for any inconvenience that I have caused any one, but look for me on October 8 in Chipley for the American Wrestling Federation Chipley.

Sincerely,

Bobby Sanford "Mr. Education"

9/23/05 Big Time Birthday Bashing

TALLAHASSEE, FLA- Mr. Education, Bobby Sanford recently celebrated birthday on September 7, along with the celebration he celebrated his accomplishments in pro wrestling.  Currently Sanford is the Florida Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion, The Great American Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion and the CCW Cruiserweight champion.

"On top of all of the other things that I have going there are still a few things that I am setting up pretty soon I am going to be adding a journal to my Web site,"  said the 2002 Mid Eastern Athletic Conference Track and Field Champion.

08/28/05 Assault on the American Wrestling Federation

CHIPLEY, FLA- Mr. Education and former friend and nemesis Jack Tatum teamed up for the first time in more than two years to take on Mercury McCloud and Ricky "The Rocket" Roberts for the vacant AWF tag team titles.  Sanford and Tatum worked in the ring like a well polished tag team, yet both men seemed to be just a little unstable mentally.  This was a back and forth battle between the veteran team of Roberts & McCloud and Dangerous Minds (Sanford & Tatum), but in the end McCloud and Roberts got the pinfall victory after nailing a combination move of a neck breaker and Russian leg sweep finish.  After the match the new tag champs were jumped by Team Elite.  After seeing the new tag champs down the team of dangerous minds jumped back into the ring to deliver even more punishment.  Tatum and Sanford want their rematch for the tag straps and they are scheduled to return to Chipley on September 9.

08/25/05 The New Great American Wrestling Federation Champ is?

PORT ST. JOE, FLA- On an action packed Saturday night Mr. Education became the new GAWF Heavyweight Champion during his debut for the promotion.  The GAWF is an affiliate of the AWA, which now makes him a contender for Steve Corino's World Title.

Bobby Sanford received a bye in the first round of the tournament to wrestle in the semi-finals where he faced the 400+ lb Mountain Man, after struggling through a brutal contest Sanford was able to obtain the victory with some assistance from Entertainment Tonight.  In the finals Mr. Education faced his sometimes tag partner Entertainment Tonight and Sanford used a knee injury to garner sympathy from his friend to gain the pinfall victory.

7/02/05 Coastal Championship Wrestling Opponent Announced

On Saturday, July 16, Mr. Education will be wrestling for Coastal Championship Wrestling and his opponent has been named as none other than NWA-TNA star Phi Delta Slam Brother Bruno.  This will be one of Mr. Education's biggest challenges to date not only physically as Bruno is quite the ring technician.  Other matches announced will be Heavyweight Champion Dave Johnson vs. Antonio Banks,  Cash Money Alex G. vs. Glacier and appearances by other stars such as Scott Commodity & Preston James with Awesome Amy, Dok Rivers, and more.

6/26/05 Mr. Education defeated Jack Tattum

CHIPLEY, Fla- For the first time in wrestling history Mr. Education got  in the ring with the arguably one of the most talented wrestlers in northern Florida when he and Jack Tattum wrestled one on one for the first time.  Also on the card 'Entertainment Tonight' Eric Tattum wrestled against Slash.  These matches were considered to be very good contest.

"This was the most solid first half of a show that we have had in a long time," said Dandy Jack the AWF commissioner.  Mr. Education was in classic heal form and so was Eric Tattum, but lately Jack has been enjoying the adoration of the fans.  All and all it was a good show and we can expect to see more of these guys in the AWF very soon.

6/23/05 Mr. Education vs. Jack Tattum on June 25

CHIPLEY, FLA- The rivalry continues in the American Wrestling Federation as Mr. Education prepares to take on the extremely agile Jack Tattum.  This match, which has been signed by the AWF will mark the first time that these two have ever had a one on one confrontation.

Tattum, formerly of Capital City Wrestling's G-Unit with his brother Eric who regularly teams with Sanford, has been in the ring with Sanford in tag action and a four way and each time these guys have gone move for move and hold for hold.  The match in Chipley will determine who really is as Sanford likes to say the cream of the crop, which rises to the top.

Jack Tattum has trained with Sanford on numerous occasions and these two men are not strangers to each other at all, this match should be one for the record books, but where does Eric "Entertainment Tonight" Tattum stand in this feud?

6/20/05 Sanford and Cruise defeat Epic and Tattum

VALDOSTA, GA- On Sunday June, 19 Bobby Sanford teamed up with Seth Cruise to form one of if not the most formidable combinations currently competing in the NWA-SCW.  In the match up Sanford would once again get the opportunity to face off against his nemesis from Capital City Wrestling Jack Tattum.  All wrestlers showed outstanding athleticism in the match up, but in the end it was the duo of Cruise and Sanford getting the win.

After starting the night by insulting the crowd and telling them that they've held him down the crowd was nearly riotous toward Mr. Education. "I don't understand why people in the audience were booing me, I thought being educated was a good thing," Sanford said.

Also on the card Jerry "The King" Lawler was defeated by Dirty Duane Bell of South Side Trash after Duane used an illegal foreign object.  The Disco inferno was victorious over the legendary Chic Donovan.  Kevin Kantrell pinned Entertainment Tonight Eric Tattum, NWA South Georgia Champion Jon Davis pinned Mark Stephens, Jody Peterman, Matt Kuma and Cranse Gracie beat Big Bank Barfield, The Wrestler, and Jake Slater in a whose your daddy match.  In the main event of the evening a match The Heartbreak X-press took on the Armstrong's, Brad and Bullet Bob for the Tag Team Championship in the end we saw the Heartbreak X-press lose by disqualification, but retained the titles on a technicality.  Next week Mr. Education will be in Chipley, Florida wrestling for the American Wrestling Federation.

6/13/05 Returning to the South

TALLAHASSEE- On Saturday July, 16 Bobby Sanford makes his return to south Florida and his debut for Coastal Championship Wrestling. The event is scheduled to take place in the Coral Springs Gymnasium at 8 p.m.

"I am very excited to be returning to the South, most of the wrestlers and promoters who know me don't acknowledge that, that's where I am from and where I learned the basics," said the former college Academic All-American.

Mr. Education is confirmed for the CCW show on July 16 and he is still waiting on confirmation for the FSCW show on July 23, but it is very much likely that he will be wrestling on July 23 as well.

6/2/05 Mr. Education vs. Marty Jannetty II cancelled

Mr. Education vs. Marty Jannetty part II has been cancelled due to the date of the event changing?  This is Mr. Education's official stand on the matter,

"Marty and I were going to go to Valdosta and put on a match that the fans have not seen in a long time,  I have been talking to Marty consistently and we have agreed upon one thing and that is that this match was definitely going to be more intense than the match match in McClenny, which many have called the match of the year.  I will admit I was wrong for turning my back on Marty in that tag match against Sermon and Britain, but I needed to see just how good he really was as an individual wrestler.  There is no doubt that he is even better now than he was before, but I am the most promising superstar in the business today."  Mr. Education is still scheduled to be at the show in Valdosta however the event will take place on June 19 instead of the 18th.

6/02/05 Sanford will Returning to South Florida in July

Mr. Education was trained in South Florida and he will return in mid July,  Currently Bobby Sanford is Florida Wrestling Alliance Heavyweight Champion and there is no update on weather he will be defending his title in July. Currently not a lot of details were available about the purpose of his return, but we will continue to follow this story as it develops.

Mr. Education unsuccessful in bid for cruiserweight championship 5/29/05

Live Oak- Mr. Education took on Chasyn Rance for the cruiserweight title and in a performance that can only be described as stellar these two athletes traded offense back and forth but in the end it was Rance who got the pin fall victory.

"Going into the match my mind wasn't where it needed to be," Sanford said. "So a simple mistake cost me what should have been my cruiserweight championship."

This was the first time that Sanford and Rance met in a one on one confrontation,  He feels that Chasyn is an outstanding performer, but the outcome would have been different if the circumstances were different. "He beat me and that's it, he was the better man on that night, if we ever have a rematch I guarantee a different outcome."

Big Match Coming up Real Soon!  5/29/05

Bobby Sanford continues his climb to become a top player in professional wrestling, but on June 18th in Valdosta, Ga. he will have his hands full as he faces his former trainer in part II of the Student vs. Teacher saga.

In the first battle the Student was able to use illegal tactics to overcome his former trainer and training partner Marty Jannetty.  "Marty said before the match he taught me everything that I know, but not every thing he knows, well I showed him that I learned to pick up things along the way if you know what I mean," Sanford said.

This next battle should be very interesting as it rumored that this match will be watched closely by some very important onlookers.  It will also be Jannetty's last match on the indy circuit.  For more info check out NWA Spinebuster
