Infernum-Farewell
No Colours 2004

The second band of Graveland masterminds Capricornus and Rob Darken is finally out! It seems to be the last album ever as they say via label No Colours Records, as they released also their new album `Farewell` there. The old horde Infernum...we haven`t heard for them since their last album in 1994, called ``Taur-Nu-Fuin``and 11 years later comes ``Farewell``. Let`s start with the intro of this album: kind of march of the pagan warriors to valhalla! Intro reminds me also in some Graveland intro`s or phrases...nevermind, we will talk later about that! So after the intro the first song starts with a lot of melodical themes. It is true:they use in ``Farewell``more melodies that ``Taur-Nu-Fuin``! Also there are keyboards, what`s a positive aspect because they support the great melodies of Infernum`s typical paganism marches! There are also many ambient parts where you can hear only a guitar or a keyboard including Rob Darken`s vocals! You can also hear the typical Capricornus drum style as he already used it in Graveland`s ``Thousand Swords``album: his cymbal sounds like a triangle! So what is the main thing in Rob Darken`s bands? The pagan atmosphere! You can hear it in Graveland, Thor`s Hammer or Veles AND also in Infernum and their new album! ``Farewell``is a typical Rob Darken album including all special things that makes a his albums out.... If you like Infernum`s first album and the last Graveland albums,so you should support ``Farewell``!
