The style - Way of the Sphere - was designed to be stimulating and fun. It is based on continual motion motivated by common sense. The four basic areas of seeing motion, reacting to motion, following through, and maintaining the advantage involve five basic concepts: getting out of the way, striking, anticipating motion, adverse momentum, and attack defense.

The beginner's goal is to develop their fundamentals to a working level for karate. The intermediate student's prime concern is to specialize in circle behavior and patterns. Students of the Way of the Sphere will accomplish three goals: develop mind, body, and spirit; learn the art of karate; and become a qualified teacher of the style.

Classes in self-defense are taught for all ages 5 and above. See the events link for schedules. Various seminars, such as kicking, board breaking, grappling, etc. are presented to enhance the training of the students.

The popular and unique "Street Survival for Women" is open to all female students and the general public as well. In this course, women learn to relax under presssure and survive a realistic attack from "Gore," our padded attacker. The children's seminar "Safe From Strangers" presents them with stranger-danger alerts and helps them learn to be aware of their environment as well as how to avoid a possible abduction.
